Thought for the Day

JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS IS NOT HALF AS GOOD AN EXERCISE AS DIGGING FOR THE FACTS.

Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  2 Timothy 2;15

Ted Turner is one of the outstanding personalities of the twentieth century. He turned Channel 17 in Atlanta into the first "super station".  transmitting its signal to cable stations nation wide via satellite soon after he purchased the Atlanta braves baseball team and the Atlanta hawks basketball team.  In 1980 he inaugurated CNN the world first live round-the-clock all-news  television network.  He organized the inaugural Good Will Games in Moscow, won numerous awards and held numerous national and world sailing titles.
About making choices and decisions Ted has given this advise.  "There is a saying "Be sure of your information and then go ahead."  My father was the first one to point this out to me.  Get all the information you can along with the advise and counsel of people you think are wise. That is a prerequisite for success in the long haul.  You should not make decisions until you have complete knowledge about things.  When you have to form opinions without as much information as you should have, or without firsthand knowledge, , , , don't hold hard and fast opinions.  When new information becomes available, you should be able to change your mind.  "
