The Blue Hill Bobcats hosted the Doniphan Trumbull cardinals Friday night. The Bobcats came out with a victory and closed the game with a score of 28 to Doniphan Trumbull's 18. Scoring for Blue Hill were Parker Trumble, Garrett Sharp, Mitchell Ruybalid, and Luke Faimon.
Rushing, Sharp rushed for 232 yards on 24 carries, Trumble got 68 yeards on 24 carries, Chase Hofferber carried twice with a minus 4 and Jason Poe got 7 yard in 7 carries.
Jason Poe was injured in the game and wil probably be out for the season.
Coach Scott Porter was quoted in the Hastings Tribune "Garrett had a great game, so did Parker (Trumble), but we have to give everything accomplished tonight to the whole team and whole community," Porter said.
The Doniphan Trumbull showed real class by supporting their opponents with wristbands and ribbons showing their support for the community of Blue Hill in their time of grief following the death of four involved in the school bus accident south of Blue Hill Wednesday. The community was touched by the gesture.
The flag at the end of the football field flew at half mast in rememberance and the Blue Hill team had a special sticker on their helmets.
