Blue Hill resident Denise Kelley was not seriously injured when her car left the road Sunday evening as she tried to avoid hitting a turkey on Marion road south of Hastings. Kelley was alone in the car when the accident happened. She sustained only minor bruising on her right side. The car was seriously damaged.
Driving experts warn drivers not to swerve to avoid animals on the road as the results can be more devestating than hitting it.
