Nebraska Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy has been elected as one of three officers leading the National Lieutenant Governors Association. Sheehy was elected treasurer during a recent meeting of the association in Baltimore. As treasurer, he will lead the association's finance committee. Sheehy has represented Midwestern states on the association's executive committee since 2007. In addition to becoming an officer at the recent annual meeting, Sheehy moderated a conversation on cyber security with U.S. Department of Homeland Security officials. He also co-sponsored a resolution on the adoption of health-information technology in states.
