Football Season Ends Early

The Sailors of Sutherland left Blue Hill happy last night after defeating the Bobcats by a score of 14 to 12 and breaking a 22 game winning streak by the Bobcats. The loss came in the second round of the class C-2 State Playoff and means that for the first time since 2005 Blue Hill will not be going to the state playoffs in Lincoln. The Sutherland team scored on their first two possessions and then held on for the win. Sutherland had 291 yards of total offense against a Blue Hill team that had previously been giving up only 125 yards per game.
