Robert Charles Wormuth of Center Point, TX, passed away at his home Sunday morning, July 7, 2012 at the age of 84.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Arthur Wormuth; brother, Lester Wormuth; sister, Edith McCoy; two infants who died at birth and an infant grandchild as well as brother-in-law, Dean Kile; sister-in-law, Dorothy Wormuth; and sister-in-law, Rae Wormuth.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife and soulmate, Velma Parks Wormuth; son, Robert S. Wormuth (Julie); daughter, Trish Arzigian (Jim); stepdaughter, Kay Fischbeck (Kip); stepson, George Karber (Sheena); 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren, brothers Dean Wormuth and Paul Wormuth of Blue Hill, Ne. He is also survived by many friends who will also miss him and love him into eternity.
Robert was born June 14, 1929 near Blue Hill, NE. He graduated from Blue Hill high school before serving time in the U.S. Army.
He was a veteran of foreign wars and also spent 25 years serving in Civil Service in the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the capacity of Facilities Manager on the Tohono O'otumn Indian reservation in Arizona. He was rewarded with many certificates that honored his services while in this capacity.
Everyone who knew Robert (Bob) knew his great love for the sport of hunting. He spent many years hunting Elk in Colorado with a group of his best and long lasting friends. As soon as one trip was over, he was planning the trip for the following year. He also spent many hours in his boat fishing on the Guadalupe River with his step son. He was extremely devoted to his children and step children along with dozens of friends who will all miss this mild mannered, kind man.
