Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) issued the following statement after Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE) announced he would retire from the U.S. Senate at the end of the 113th Congress:

I am grateful for his friendship and the leadership he has demonstrated at the local, state and federal levels, and I look forward to continuing to work with him for the next two years to represent the people of Nebraska.”
