Snow was falling again today and wind was moving the snow from the previous storm around. School was not cancelled but dismissed early for parent teachers conferences. At least one school bus got stuck in the snow and had to be pulled outl County Road crews have been assisting with getting stuck vehicles off the road. Road crews have been kept busy for the past several days and will appreciate a rest when they finally get all the roads open again. Moving the snow is hampered by the fact that the ground was not frozen when it began raining and the moisture created a lot of mud before the snow fell. The snow will now insulate the ground and keep it muddy as the snow melts. The roads, including the gravel, are getting frozen and very slick So if you are driving on these roads, drive with care!! Remember Blue Hill schools will start at 10 a.m. Tomorrow, February 8th. Take your time, be safe.
