There is a serious problem in town that should be brought to the attention of many parents. There are several young girls that are taking nude pictures of themselves with cell phones and sending them around to others in school. Please talk with your child. This is not the way a young girl should act.
There are about 10 girls involved.

I to have seen and heard of the young girls and their nude photos. Parents you can tell your daughters or sons that I will be printing their photos and posting them all over town. If they don’t want to be seen nude then they should not have sent photos out. Maybe this will deter them from this stupid behavior.
As a parent you may not want this type of photo posted everywhere you go so get it stopped.

I cant believe this as this has to be gossip that is getting out of hand as if it was true it would of been taking and not show up on this site. So if this is something that is the fact take it to the person or persons parents so it doesnt go any farther.

"Sexting in America: When Privates go Public"
an MTV news special about stories of teens burned by sharing nude photos.

It's happening across America and it is happening in Blue Hill. Young girls and prehaps boys as well are using modern technology to transmit images that are considered child pornography.

Images taken of someone under the age of 18 can constitute child pornography, according to Parry Aftab, an internet privacy and security lawyer. " If you take a picture you can be accused of producing child pornography; if you send it to someone you can be accused of distributing child pornography; and if you keep a picture, you can be accused of possessing child pornography, " Aftab explained. "Anywhre along this chain of transmission of the immages, you can be charged as a registered sex offender."

You might expect your sext message to remain private, but nearly one in five sext recipients report that they have passed the immages along to someone else, with more than half sayiing that they just assumed that others would want to see them, followed by a desire to show off and boredom. According to an MTV poll, three in 10 young people reported that they'd been involved in some type of naked texting.

If you receive a sext, delete it immediately, Aftab recommends. And keep in mind that once you take a photo on your phone, it never goes away. "It could be in a milllion places, and you never know who got a copy." Aftab said. "If you take it on your phone and texted it, a copy exists with your cell phone carrier and on (the recipient's) phone. maybe he e-mailed it to himself, so now it's on his computer, and if he put it on an SD card and used it on his Xbox, now it's there also. They're also sometimes sold on the digital black market for use on underground Web sites where real child predators love to look at them." If you've sent a sext, she suggests having a discussion with the recipient and then doing your best to delete all copies.

If you or someone you know is a victim of digital abuse, get help now. Experts believe education and dialogue are key to identifying and stopping the spread of digital abuse. Head to AThinLine.org to find ways you can increase national awareness about his issue and be a part of the solution.

Have you ever told someone (as in these girls parents) something they really didn't want to hear and ended up "the bad guy" not because of what you did but because you delivered the message. You know the old Roman custom of killing the messenger when bad news was received? Well,, don't you think that is going to be the case here?

I may know what is going on but I don't want the credit/blame when it all comes out. this is UGLY.

But Maybe this will take it to the next level and wake up some people and get a handle on it.

There was a nice story tonight (2-16-10)in the Hastings TRibune about Blue Hill Area resident Jason Kort and his recovery from an accident a year ago. He is an amazing young man as he has proved by his determination to make the most of his life. A good read.

"I saw it written once that the definition of insanity is repeating the same process over and over and expecting the outcome to suddenly be different. I am finally ready to stop this insanity. Well, Mr. Big Brother IRS man, lets try something different, take my pound of flesh and sleep well". Quote from a note by pilot Joseph Stack left on his website before he set fire to his home and flew his small plane into an office bilding housing nearly 200 federal tax employees on Thursday.

Has the school decided to provide some education to the students regarding this kind of behavior?
I believe it is appropriate for the school to address this as it will surely effect the student in a negative manner if it is not stopped.
