Congressman Adrian Smith |
Congressman Adrian Smith (R-NE) issued the following statement today marking the anniversary of the terrorists attacks on September 11, 2001:
“September 11th not only marks a day of great tragedy, but also of great strength, courage, and unity for the American people. As we remember the many victims, let us also recall the many acts of selflessness, as well as the pride for our country we all felt as Americans in the aftermath of these horrific attacks twelve years ago.
“Today, we also remember the four Americans who were killed one year ago while serving our country in Benghazi, Libya.
“As the war on terrorism continues, let us also never take for granted the many freedoms and liberties we enjoy, nor the many men and women in uniform who have fought and died to defend them. May God continue to bless the United States of America.”
