Hastings resident Craig Wayne Kuhlman, 56, died Friday, July 6, 2012, at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Blue Hill with the Rev. Don McMillan officiating. Burial is at Blue Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the church. Merten-Butler Mortuary in Blue Hill is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be given tothe family.

Craig was born Nov. 29, 1955, to Orville and Joan (Kumke) Kuhlman in Hastings, Neb. He graduated from Blue Hill Public Schools in 1974. He attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln before moving to Hastings. He worked for Hastings Utilities before going to work for Thermo-King. He worked at Thermo-King for 30 years before his health failed. He married Jo Bienkowski on May 14, 1983, and they later divorced. Craig enjoyed woodworking, volunteering at Crossroads and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by one brother, Michael of Minden, Neb.;one sister, Judy (Mike) Placke of Hastings, Neb.; one niece, Caiti (Brandon) Smith of Red Cloud, Neb.; great nephew, Kaleb Smith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents,William and Myrtle Kuhlman, Herman and Frieda Kumke.
