Open Forum
The Open Forum is your chance to say something, report breaking news or ask a question -- on any issue. Any topic is fair game, although Blue Hill Today's comment policies still apply. (see bottom of left hand column.)
Our first three Open Forums, had 15 comments including; good samaratins, child safety, tax deductions for pet owners, parking and personal property, academic achievement of local alum, local service man sends Christmas greetings, the health care debate, a birth announcement, quotes from Parker Griffith and Adrian Smith, Christmas eve church services, the Mayor, and trash disposal.
Go ahead and sound off on anything. We are listening.A new Open Forum link will be re-posted every Monday (or there abouts) to keep it towards the top of the recent posts.
Of course, your completed news article, news information, story idea, or suggestions to improve this site can still be sent to Blue Hill Today by e-mailing us at bluehilltoday@hotmail.com.

Any one want to nominate someone for Blue Hill citizen of the year? Who in Blue Hill has been a "a mover and a shaker"?
who has contributed to the betterment of the community? Tell us the name of someone in the community who is deserving of recognition for working to improve their neighbors' quality of life. Tell us why they are deserving of the accolade. Nominations could be submitted right here on this blog. Lets give some credit where credit is due.
My nomination for citizen of the year for 2009 is Ed Wademan. As a small business owner he brought jobs to BH. He built many houses in town, fixed up others, installed parking lots, curb and gutter and much more. He was a good neighbor. He was always willing to help out and accept any task or challenge.
I will second the Ed Wademan. We have not yet begun to understand how much he will be missed.
The U.S. Government has sent an initial $100 M in relief aid to Haiti. U.S. Company's have already sent over $46 M in cash and upwards of $80 M in merchandise and logistical support. Yum! Brands, Inc. (KFC, Long John Silver's, A&W Restraunt, Taco Bell, ect) has committed to over $10 M dollars alone. Not too bad for a group of "greedy" SOBs who already give in excess of 40% of their income to the government.
