Basketball Holiday Tournament Results

Boys Woodriver 63 - Blue Hill 52 The Blue Hill boys basketball team fell to Wood River 63- 52 in the oppening round of the Sandy Creek Holiday tournament Tuesday. Chad Hastings led teh Bobcats with 13 points. Teammate Kurt Burken tallied 11 points. Others who scored in the game were Maverick Busboon 4, Trent Kohmetscher 4, Kyle Mans 5, Thomas Ostdiek 7, Riley Bonifas 7 and Trevor Kohmetscher 1. Blue Hill 66 - Cozad 34 The Blue Hill Boys basketball team placed third at the Sandy Creek holiday tournament, defeating Cozad 66-34 Wednesday. Riley Bonifas led Blue Hill with 14 points. Teammate Chad Hastings had 12 points while Kurt Burken tallied 11 points for the Bobcats. Also putting up points were Justin Toepher 3, Maverick Busboom 4, Kyle Mans 4, Thomas Ostdiek 6, Garrett Williams 6, Matt Thramer 2 and Brock Kumke 4. Girls Blue Hill fell to Wood River 45 -42 in the opening round of the Sandy Creek Holiday tournament Tuesday. Madison Coffey led Blue Hill with 12 points. Alyssa Willicot added 10 points. Also scoring were Meggie Coffey 5, Alissa Overy 2, Kristin Kohmetscher 2, Christine Herrick 2, Kaitlin Kumke 2, and Jordyn Atwater 1. Blue Hill 51 - Cozad 32 The Blue Hill girls defeated Cozad 51-32 in the consolation game of the Sandy Creek holiday tournament Wednesday. Madison Coffey led Blue Hill with 14 points while Jordyn Atwater added 10 points and Alyssa Willicot chipped in with 8 points for the Bobcats. Others to score were Emily Hubl 3, Alissa Overy 5, Kristin Kohmetscher 3, and Kaitlin Kumke with 4.
