Rena Marie Bourg (February 5, 1929 - August 31, 2009)
Hastings resident, Rena Marie (Costa) Bourg, 80, passed away, Monday, August 31, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village.
Funeral rites will be Friday, September 4, 2009 at 10 AM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Father Christopher Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, NE. Book signing will be Thursday, September 3, 2009, 9 AM to 9 PM and Friday, September 4, 2009 from 9 AM up till service time in the chapel. Rena was born February 5, 1929 to Antone Medeiros and Violet Costa in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated from the Roosevelt High School in 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She married Lilburn “Bud” Bourg. They moved to Blue Hill, NE, in 1978, and then moved to Hastings, NE in 1981.
She is survived by her husband Bud of Hastings, NE, 1 daughter, Melissa Marie Bourg of Honolulu, HI, 4 sons, David R. Bourg of Seattle, WA, Rendell K. Bourg and wife Lanette of Honolulu, HI, Ian Jon Bourg of LasVegas, NV, and Jonathan E. Bourg and wife Jasmine of Hastings, NE. 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorials may be given to the St. Cecilia Catholic Church, or Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village, both in Hastings, NE.

RENA MARIE (COSTA) BOURG
80, passed away Monday, August 31, 2009. Beloved mom, grandmother and friend was born February 5, 1929 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She graduated in 1948 from Roosevelt High School. While employed at Hawaiian Tel, she met and married Lilburn "Bud" Bourg. They raised their five children in the Aina Haina and Kailua areas until their move in 1978 to Blue Hill, Nebraska. In 1981, they moved to Hastings where they've resided ever since.
Rena is survived by her husband "Bud" Bourg, sons David R. Bourg, Rendell K. (Lanette) Bourg, Ian Jon Bourg, Jonathan E. (Jasmine) Bourg, daughter, Melissa M. Bourg, 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
