Richard B. Morlang, the son of Lorie (Krabbe) and Alex Morlang, was born March 7, 1937 at Denver, Colorado.
He departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2015 at the Mary Lanning Hospital in Hastings, Nebraska at the age of 78 years, 1 month and 27 days.
Richard grew up at Montrose, Colorado where he graduated from high school.
He completed his formal education earning his Bachelor's Degree, majoring in music, from Kearney State College in 1962.
He was united in marriage with Lyndell Grandstaff on October 25, 1961. This union was blessed with a daughter, Catherine.
Richard dedicated his career to teaching high school music in both Nevada and Idaho, living at Carson City and Coeur D Alene.
Following his retirement, he and Lyndell moved to Blue Hill to make their home in 2004.
In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening and spending time around his home.
His greatest love and appreciation in life was for his family and he especially cherished the time they spent together.
Surviving are his wife, Lyndell of Blue Hill, Nebraska; his daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and John Valdez of Idaho; a sister, Ethelda Luckey of Ft. Myers, Florida; other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., May 12, 2015 at the Blue Hill Cemetery.
