Ray Dean Hartman June 18, 1942 to November 8, 2013

Ray Dean Hartman of Blue Hill (71) passed away Friday November 8, 2013 at Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Nebraska
after a long illness.  Funeral services for Ray Dean were held at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, Nebraska  Wednesday Morning December 13, at 10:30 am. , with Rev. Ronald Kuehner Officiating. Burial was at the Blue Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Ray Dean was the second son and third child  of Raymond Louis and Donelda Caroline (Bangert) Hartman.  He was born June 18, 1942 in Webster Co. on a farm south of Blue Hill. Nebraska.  He graduated from Blue Hill High school in 1960. He served in the National Guard for six years.
 Ray Dean Hartman was a life long member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont.
He married Irene Margaret McIndoo on the 16th of October, 1966 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rosemont, Nebraska. The union was blessed with three daughters.
 He farmed until the early 1990's.  They moved to Pauline, Nebraska in 1993 and into Blue Hill in October 2011.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed camping and welding as well as other metal work. 
Ray Dean is survived by his three daughters, Bethann Rae (Johnny) Bostock, of Red Cloud Angela Annette (Dr. Brent) Premer, of Pierce, Nebraska  and Rebecca Jay  (John) Kearney, of Blue Hill .
two brothers, Gerald (Margy) Hartman of Holstein, Nebraska, Dale (Susan) Hartman of Hastings, Nebraska;  two sisters Carolee (Jerry) Schriner of Loup City, Nebraska, Linda (Ken) Hudson, of SanDiego, California; grandchildren, Shelby and Jared Bostock, Ashton, Gabrielle, Seth Alexis and Torie Premer, Mikaela and Adam Kearney.
Ray Dean was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Ryan Bostock.
 RayDean and Irene lived much of their life together on the Hartman family farm south of Rosemont where RayDean grew up.  When they retired from farming they moved to Pauline and finally took up residence in Blue Hill.
