State offices will be closed for the Christmas holiday on Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24 – 25. State law provides that whenever the President gives federal employees paid time off, the State of Nebraska shall grant the same benefit to state employees. Isn't that wonderful?!! Hundreds of thousands of government employees get a day off with pay, and the taxpayers will foot the bill. This is what you call a spending cut??!!
Ever hear the expression "it would take an act of congress..."
Lets change that to "it would take an Obama executive order."
