The Blue Hill Volunteer fire department was called out tonight to help extinguish a fire in some corn stalks five miles south of Blue Hill. Eleven volunteer fire fighters and five trucks responded to the blaze. The firemen were able to bring the blaze under control in less than an hour. The fire started when an old pile of trees were being burned and as spark was blown out into the dry corn stalks. It was dark before the fire men were called to the scene,.
