October 1st Dealline for Service Academy Nominations

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Deb Fischer (R-Neb.) released the following statement, reminding Nebraskans of the October 1, 2015, deadline for submitting service academy nominations for the class of 2020:
“Each year, our state is blessed with an outstanding number of students who submit their applications to attend one of our nation’s military service academies. Selecting the next generation of military leaders is among my most rewarding responsibilities as a U.S. Senator. I encourage all eligible Nebraska students who are interested in this opportunity to apply before the October 1st deadline.”
United States Senators are called upon annually to nominate a select group of eligible individuals from their states for enrollment at one of the five U.S. military service academies: the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S.  Coast Guard Academy, the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy.
