WASHINGTON –Sen. Mike Johanns (R-Neb.), a member of the Senate Committee on Veterans' Affairs, released the following statement on the one-year anniversary of the Osama bin Laden mission:
"Today is a day to remember not only the heroism of our men and women in uniform but also the reasons we rely on them for our safety every day. Every American should express their thanks and gratitude to our troops and veterans for their service and sacrifices in protecting our freedoms – not for personal or political gain but for the values that make our country great."
