Blue Hill resident Donelda Caroline Bangert Hartman died at the Blue Hill Care Center early Friday morning June 3, 2011. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church at Rosemont with the Rev. Ronald Kuehner officiating. Burial will be at Blue Hill Cemetery in Blue Hill. Visitation is 1-9 p.m. Sunday with famiy present 6-8 p.m., at Merten-Butler Mortuary in Blue Hill and one hour prior to Services at the Church.
Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Hour or Lutheran Women's missionary League.
Donelda was born on August 6, 1919 to August C. Bangert and Augusta (Benker) Bangert in Webster County Nebraska near Guide Rock. She graduated from Lawrence High School in 1935. She taught school for one year.
She married Raymond L. Hartman on June 27, 1937 in Deshler, Nebraska.
Raymond retired from farming near Rosemont and they moved to Blue Hill in August of 1971. Donelda then worked in the dietary department at the Blue Hill care Center for 20 years.
She was a faithful member of Calvary Luthern Church in Rosemont and was an active member of Calvary Lutheran Ladies Aid.
Mourning her passing are her three sons, Gerald and wife Margy of Holstien, Nebraska, Ray Dean and wife Irene of Pauline, Nebraska and Dale and wife Susan of Hastings, Nebraska and two daughters, Carolee and husband Jerry Schriner of Loup City, Nebraska and Linda and husband Ken Hudson of Okinowa, Japan. one brother Clarence P. Bangert and his wife Loretta of Lincoln, Nebraska and fifteen grandchildren, Lynn and Lyle Schroeder of Yutan, Nebraska, Mark and Jacquie Hartman of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, Joan and Noel Nienhuser of Juniata, Nebraska, Leigh Hartman of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Jerry and Melissa Hartman of Holstien, Nebraska, Brenda and Jim Gergory of Loup City, Nebraska, David and Missy Schriner of Grand Island, Nebraska, Mitch and Sara Schriner of Loup City, Nebraska, Bethann and Johnny Bostock of Red Cloud Nebraska, Angela and Brent Premer of Pierce, Nebraska, Rebecca and John Kearney of Blue Hill, Nebraska, Mark and Molly Johnson of Lincoln, Nebraska, Andre and Rachel Hudson, Kelsey and Ryan Dillon, and Brooke Hudson, all of San Diego, California and 41 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two sisters, Agnes Seemman and Hilda Alber.
