Lora M. Premer February 4, 1939 to September 30, 2015




Blue Hill resident Lora Mae Premer, 76, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln. Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Blue Hill with Rev. Ken Zimmerman officiating.
Lora Mae McChesney was born February 4, 1939 to Percy and Eunice McChesney.  She had five brothers, William, Jim, Ray, Eloise, and Gary, and three sisters Alice  Helen and Mildred.
She married James Edward Premer June 5, 1960.
They were the parents of five children.  Starrlet (Kent) Klute, Rocky (Tracy) Premer, Scott Premer, Brent (Angela) Premer, Dusty (Karen) Premer.

BLUE HILL -- James E. Premer DVM, 69, died Tuesday (Jan. 23. 2007) at Bryan LGH West in Lincoln.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1937, to Noel G. and Vesta E. (Ohlson) Premer at Bartley. He graduated from Bartley High School as the Salutatorian. He attended McCook Junior College and then attended and graduated from Colorado State University

He married Lora M. McChesney on June 5, 1960, at Bartley. They moved to Blue Hill in 1962 and owned and operated the Blue Hill Veterinary Clinic. He was a member of the Blue Hill United Methodist Church, a past EMT and Volunteer fireman, and past President and member of the Blue Hill School Board for many years. He was also a member of the American and Nebraska Veterinary Associations.

He was preceded in death by his father, Noel.

Survivors include his wife, Lora of Blue Hill; mother, Vesta of Bartley; daughter, Starrlet Klute of Lincoln; four sons, Rockland and Scott both of Blue Hill, Brent of Pierce and Dustin of Kearney; one sister, Neola Blake of McCook; and 12 grandchildren.

Services were Friday at the Blue Hill United Methodist Church in Blue Hill, with Rev. Michael Lee Burgess officiating. A family burial was in the Blue Hlll Cemetery.
