Hastings resident, Beda H. Behmer,
89, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 at Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Friday, July 12,
2013; 7:00 P.M. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home, Norfolk, Nebraska.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, July 13, 2013; 10:30 A.M. at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church, Norfolk, Nebraska with Father Gregory Carl officiating.
Book signing will be Thursday, July 11, 2013; 9:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M. at Butler
Volland Funeral Home in Hastings. Family will greet relatives and friends
Friday, July 12, 2013; 4 P.M. - 7 P.M. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home
in Norfolk. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Norfolk,
Nebraska. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Sacred Heart Parish
Schools Endowment.
Beda was born to Henry and Rose
(Borer) Wiese January 20, 1924 in Lindsay, Nebraska. She married Wilbur C.
“Bud” Behmer April 25, 1950 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1989.
Beda worked for Dale Electronics and later retired from the business. She was a
long time member of Sacred Heart Parish and was very active in the Altar
Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
Beda was preceded in death by her
husband, Wilbur; brothers, Edward, Richard, Raymond, Harold, and Bill Wiese;
sister, Eleanor Wiese; and sisters-in-law, Cleo, Geri, Dorothy, and Ollie
Wiese.
