Dobrovolny bound over to District Court.

Kurtis A. Dobrovolny of 207 W. 6th street, Hastings, Nebraska was bound over to district court Wednesday by Adams County Judge Robert Ide. Dobrovolny is facing nine counts of theft by taking, three counts of burglary and one accessory to a felony charge. An additional charge of theft was dismisssed by the prosecution Wednesday. The case will be scheduled for an arraignment in Adams County District Court. Dobrovolny and two other youths were allegedly involved in a string of thefts across several counties last summer. Some of the vehicles involved appeared to have been deliberately rammed into each other. The vehicles were taken between July 6 and August 11, 2010. (see article and picture on this blog from last July) Dobrovolny is being charged at this time with crimes committed in Adams County. Theft by taking, value more than $1,500 and burglary are each a class 3 felony punishable by up to 20 years imprisonment and a $25,000 fine. Theft by taking, value $500 - $1500 and accessory to a felony are each a class 4 felony punishable by up to five years imprisonment and a $10,000 fine. Dobrovolny and two juvenile accomplists are allegedly involved in taking and destroying property in Blue Hill last July. He has yet to be charged with crimes in Webster county.
